NAJAF RECEIVES SWISS OFFER TO ESTABLISH WASTE RECYCLING AND ENERGY PRODUCTION PLANT

IBN News, Mar. 21: Swiss ID Energy AG presented their proposed investment project in Najaf to establish an environmentally friendly waste recycling and renewable energy production plant in the province. Governor Luay al-Yasiry said, “Waste is one of the most important and complex issues in the province. The company investing in this project will provide significant services and create many jobs. We discussed with them how to produce electricity and fertilizers from the collected waste materials, and other affairs that will revive the province’s services and economy.” The Swiss company representative,
Mr. Adrian Frost, said, “We will bring to Iraq especially in Najaf a modern technology that has not been brought into the Middle East. The project will protect the environment and citizens from diseases caused by waste, in addition to the production of sufficient energy in the province. This will pave the way for other companies to come to Iraq after the world companies see our successful work in the country." Mr. Frost hoped to secure the investment opportunities after completing all the legal procedures.
