KARBALA PARTICIPATES IN TECHNICAL RELATIONSHIP WORKSHOP

Non14 News Agency, Mar. 5: USAID-GSP/Taqadum, in cooperation with the High Commission for Coordination between Provinces (HCCP), held the Technical Relationship Workshop for the Ministries of Labor and Social Affairs (MOLSA) and Youth and Sport (MOYS). Deputy Governor, Mr. Mohammed Kamil said that Babil, Diwaniyah, Karbala, and Najaf participated in the workshop, which was about Accountability and Technical Relationships between ministries and provinces. “The entities decentralized from the ministerial to provincial level have become local entities. The governor is the highest executive officer in the province, and s/he is the administrative and financial authority for the devolved directorates and their employees,” said Mr. Kamil. Further, he pointed out that the role of the federal ministries is to plan and make policy, and the Governor will oversee the technical functions transferred to the local level, in accordance with the technical relationships formulated and public policies developed by the ministries.
