FURTHER MEDIA COVERAGE OF GSP/TAQADUM PROCESS MAPPING AND STREAMLINING OF SERVICE PROCEDURES WORKSHOP

On Feb. 8-10, USAID-Taqadum/GSP held Process Mapping and Service Procedures Streamlining workshop, in Erbil, attended by Ministries of Agriculture, and Labor and Social Affairs representatives. The project’s Organizational Development Advisor, Mr. Besman al-Juboury, kicked off the workshop by welcoming the audience and commending their active role in the transfer of authorities from the ministerial to the provincial level, in accordance with Article 45 of Law 21 of 2008, as amended. The participants were briefed on the service procedures streamlining stages and as-is process maps of all the services provided by and functions performed by the concerned entities, based on the organizational development system developed by GSP/Taqadum. The participants agreed on a set of unified citizen-based service procedures for Babil, Baghdad, Basrah, Dhi Qar, Diyala, Karbala, Kirkuk, Maysan, Muthanna, and Wasit provinces, as a step towards building up trust and laying down transparency principles between citizens and local governments.
